INCI NAME

Rubus Idaeus Fruit Extract, Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate

Raspberry

The raspberry belongs to the Rosaceae family. This small fruit, also called red raspberry or European raspberry is a red-fruited species of Rubus native to Europe and northern Asia and commonly cultivated in other temperate regions.

The species name Idaeus refers to its occurrence on Mount Ida, near Troy in northwest Turkey, where the ancient Greeks were most familiar with it. With their rich color, sweet juicy taste, and antioxidant power, it is no wonder raspberries remain one of the world’s most consumed berries.

Raspberries contain vitamin C, K and E, folate, iron, potassium, manganese as well as lesser amounts of thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B-6, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc and copper. Raspberries contain the antioxidants alpha and beta-carotene, lutein, zeaxanthin, and choline.

TECHNOLOGY

FRULIX FRAMBOESA (Raspberry) is obtained through an exclusive biotechnological process that mimics the natural ripening of fruit. Using the fruits’ native enzymes that act on the changes that occur in the texture of the fruit during its ripening, ASSESSA transforms it´s pulp into a crystalline liquid with all the active ingredients of the fruit, in concentrations equivalent to those found in nature.

As a very concentrated product, FRULIX FRAMBOESA (Raspberry) should be used in smaller concentrations than those normally used when making formulas with conventional extract.
